Privacy Policy

Modern Astrology runs the Modern Astrology KP software at kp.astrokama.app. This page says what information we hold, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. What we collect
- From the Student: name, phone number, email address, the Registration Number we issued, and a password (stored only as a one way hash, never in readable form).
- Device: a device identifier created by the software at registration, used to keep one Registration Number on one computer.
- Chart data entered by the Student: the name, date, time and place of birth of the people whose charts the Student casts, and the Student's own notes on those charts.
- Payment: whether each installment is paid, when, and the order reference returned by the payment gateway.
2. What we do not collect
We never see or store card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN, net banking passwords or any other payment credential. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay on their own pages. Only the result of a payment comes back to us.
3. Why we hold it
- To let the Student sign in and use the software.
- To keep one Registration Number tied to one computer.
- To keep the charts the Student has saved, so they are there next time.
- To track which installments are paid and to restore access when payment comes in.
- To write to the Student about their account, their fees and the Course.
4. Chart data belongs to the Student
The birth details a Student enters are that Student's working records. They are stored so the Student can return to them. We do not sell them, do not use them for advertising, and do not show one Student another Student's charts.
5. Who else sees it
- Razorpay — for collecting payments, and only the information needed for that.
- Our hosting and database providers — the software runs on Cloudflare and the data is stored with Supabase. They hold the data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.
- Nobody else. We do not sell or rent information to anyone. We will share it only if a law or a court requires it.
6. Where it is kept and for how long
Account and payment records are kept while the account is active and for as long afterwards as the law requires us to keep business records. Chart data is kept until the Student deletes it or asks us to remove the account.
7. Security
Connections use HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as a hash. Access to the database is restricted, and the prediction rules are kept on the server, not in the Student's copy of the software.
8. Storage in your browser
The software keeps some information in your own browser so it can work — your account details, your saved charts and your settings. This stays on your computer. Clearing your browser data will remove it from that computer.
9. What you can ask for
- A copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correction of anything that is wrong.
- Deletion of your account and your data, subject to records we must keep by law.

10. Children
The software is not meant for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change. Significant changes will be told to Students by email.
